Grandma knows how to set up a reading nook. She has a comfortable chair by a large picture window for natural light and a small lamp for those times that you just can't put your book down. Her slippers have a permanent home beside the foot stool and her remote control is close at hand so she can read during the advertizements when her favorite shows come on.

I myself am a read anywhere type of gal. In the winter I like to get swallowed up in my over sized chair by the fireplace with a soft lap blanket. In the summer a large blanket under a shady tree is my go to spot. But no matter what the season when I have hit a wall and realize I've put myself on the back burner for far too long a bubble bath and reading by candlelight is my remedy.
What is your escape?
Do have a softly playing record in the background? Is bread baking in the oven? Are you reading with your eyes while packing lunches, doing laundry and checking emails with your eight arms like my sister does?
